Short and sweet, I had to learn this song again today for a band, so I thought I'd record a take of it, I'm a bit rusty on this song but it's fun to play!

  • I'm also a guitar player/poker player...your better at both of them than I am.

How do you record your poker videos?

  • Hey there. Good to hear you like both these things. Keep it up and you'll do well.

I record my videos using a screen recorder.... there's many out there such as 'Camtasia' and such, but I use a cheap one called ACA Screen Recorder which you can get it for about 30 bucks.

  • Really great KowboyCa! If this is what you're like when rusty, I'd like to hear you when you're not. Keep up the good work - you Ro-o-o-o-c-k!!!

  • Thanks for checkin it out dude, rock on!

  • Nice riffing man! The solo needs a little work, but it´s worth more views for sure!

  • Wel I half learnt this song a few years ago, and it's easy to remember. As for rock solo's, many use similar licks or phrases based on certain shapes, and they are easy to pick up on. But I made some of this one up. Pentatonic is not a mode in itself, just simpified scale of notes that many rock guitarists use, but if you just stick to that you get predictable.

Good luck with the Italian Concerto!

  • Bed head is good head. Looks Vervish, mate. Richard Ashcroft FTW.

Did you just learn this? How do you memorize quickly? Got any tricks? Do shapes play a role, or do alot of these rock songs have a basic structure that they all follow?

I've never written a rock guitar solo, but I read the pentatonic mode is used quite a bit.

I ask these questions because I've got to learn the Italian concerto from memory by thursday. The first movement at least. Not having a good time when I take the book away.

  • Ignore the fukin stupid bed head hair do.
