@travelnorthamerica I am a professional filmmaker, I live on the road. It's my job. Just because people work in the entertainment industry and they live on the road does not make them bad parents. you just assume Eddie wasn't there but you don't know how touring schedules work, most bands only do six week runs and then take a break. An look now that he is older Wolfgang is having a blast with his father. My son will be an adult soon, and he will join me. Save your judgements please.

@fooloof then again, they're inseparable right now. The brothers and Wolfgang are always together. Dad kicked out a staple in their band for his son to join.
You can look at it like, "Oh, well, he learned bass just so he could get dad's approval."
But, if you look at their relationship, you'll see that hardly any of the pictures Eddie has shown or the media has taken are photos of just Wolfgang, Nope, his dad is there, somehow, someway. And that child always had a smile on his face.

@itzinsanityv1: I don't know how "lucky" he is. yeah, his dad is a phenomenal talent, one of the greatest guitar players in history, but he's also a recovering alkie, druggie; toured the planet a gazillion times and was probably never home. I's sure he banged thousands of groupies and I can only imagine how many little Van Halens are running around. not to mention that he divorced Wolfie's mom Valerie Bertinelli.
