Muslims ruled northern India peacefully? Is this guy fuckin kidding me? Islamic rulers forcefully converted millions of innocent people in India. They also killed millions of innocent people for not converting to Islam. D'Souza' ancestors probably converted out of fear of death.

I would have to say that Mr. D'Souza doesn't have a clue about the theory of abrogation which claims that if a peaceful verse was revealed earlier, and a violent one was revealed later then the peaceful verse is repealed

The idea of peaceful Islamic rulers tolerating the religious beliefs of those they ruled is a blatant falsehood. The leaders in question were hardly pious Muslims; rather they were secular ones who engaged in such tolerance as a means to secure their own political control. These periods of peace and "tolerance" were always preceded by those of mass slaughter, forced conversion and enslavement at the hands of rampaging Islamic armies. D'Souza got his shit rocked by Spencer big time.

Dinesh D'Souza came out of this debate looking like a fool. His reasoning was shallow and he doesn't seem to be as knowledgeable in depth about the koran as Robert Spencer. I also read that many Muslim scholars refused to debate Robert Spencer because of fear of debating someone of Robert Spencer's erudition.

I guess ruling northern India peacefully includes the massacres in which Muslims slaughtered the families and children of Sikhs and sent their mutilated bodies home to the Punjab on a train. The train pulled up and there was blood running out the doors and hacked up body parts everywhere - literally full of mutilated bodies so that when the family members came to meet their loved ones at the train they had to fish through body parts to find their pieces. Oh! Maybe thats hat he meant - PIECEFULL.
