I must say that she was kind of special back in The 80's. Too bad she wouldn't get a recording contract these days. Oh well, at least we have this.

Jody was a diva before the word "diva" entered the public consciousness as a daily term. But, unlike GaGa and her ilk, Watley had the voice, the sensuality, the charisma and (above all) the CHOPS to pull it all together. That is a deadly combo, and it made her successful. Jody, we love you.

Don't going blaming "black women" for their music of today. Like everything else it is "supply and demand". They make what people want to hear so they can make a career of their talent. It's the people that want to list to crap. Music today, most don't even realize they are not even listening to real musical instruments and or the true voice of the artiest (singer). Shameful, like everything else of today.
