Both films are absolute masterpieces, Ive never understood why people slag Vanilla Sky. I didnt watch it for several years because of listening to the opinions of others, and when I finally did, it absolutely blew me away, and it gets better on repeat viewings. It's a 5 star cult classic, and so is Abre Los Ojos.

Glad I'm not the only fan of both scenes. In fact, I loved both movies. Saw "Abre Los Ojos" first and loved it. Saw "Vanilla Sky" and loved it!
I just plain like this story. LOL!

in fairness this shows a clear difference in the films; Vanilla Sky show David blending in to the crowd in order to feel normal again and the music is appropriately meditative. Abre Los Ojos uses a grunge song which conveys more despair and we see Cesar rejected by the crowd and then appear frustrated. I prefer the original but both are up there.
