Using Tom Paxton's song, "Wish I Had A Troubadour", I got to remembering artists, mainly in the folk world, who meant something to me, who've passed from us (except for Tom). Many of them have passed recently. In order of appearance, the photos are of Tom Paxton, Woody Guthrie, Christie Hennessy, Dave Van Ronk, Hazel Dickens, Fred Neil, Luke Kelly, Elizabeth Cotten, Larry Jon Wilson, John Stewart, Utah Phillips, Phil Ochs, Mary Travers, Odetta & Liam Clancy, Phoebe Snow, Solomon Burke, John Martyn, Townes Van Zandt, Willie P Bennett, Kate McGarrigle, Victor Jara, Ronnie Drew, Richard & Mimi Farina, Johnny Cash, Dave Van Ronk & Utah Phillips. • @Tompaxton2 It's been too long since I've seen and heard you, Tom (Vancouver, years ago now). Thank you for all the songs along the way.

  • You have done an absolutely fantastic job with the various photos - the fading in and out effect melds perfectly with the spirit of Tom's song. Thank you very much as I enjoyed it a lot and it made me very emotional as well. Bravo!

  • What a beautiful video, thank you for sharing, so beautiful. I wish I had a way to go back to those days when we used to sing these songs at college parties, everyone in a circle breaking out the guitars and singing folk songs in hope and joy. I was just looking for marvelous toy, and what a treasure I found, thank you for this lovely video. I am smiling... with a tear, too :)

  • I remember the first time I saw Tom Paxton, it was at the Isle of Wight festival in 1969, like most there I'd gone to see Bob Dylan, but for me Tom stole the show. We've seen him many times in the years since and he's only ever gotten better. Lovely song this, and nice pictures.
