Here is a poor quality video of me skiing down Leaholes Avenue in Okehampton on 6th February 2009. I've always wanted to do this. This is the heaviest snow I've ever seen in Okehampton.

  • I was the first to drive up there friday morning, Okehampton looked like a sean for the day after tomorrow..

  • Thanks for sharing I heard Okehampton had 55cm of snow [2ft] in places and Exmoor only had 25cm. Parts of Devon villages look like Alpine Ski resorts. Nice to see so much snow. This winter has been a heatwave compared to 1947, 1963, 1978 and 1991. However to see over a foot of snow in the SW is impressive. It is like being in Great Lakes of N. America, with snow after blizzard. We could have more Monday night. That sort of snow is poor for skiing. I remember performing at Okehampton Rugby Club.

  • Oh Wrenner!!!

  • Silly Wrenhead!!!
