While all Americans are proud of Senator McCain's service in the Vietnam War, does his service necessarily presuppose that he has strong national security credentials?

"I know he's trying to get traction by seeking to play to what he thinks is his strong suit of national security....The truth is that, in national security terms, he's largely untested and untried. He's never been responsible for policy formulation. He's never had leadership in a crisis, or in anything larger than his own element on an aircraft carrier or [in managing] his own congressional staff. It's not clear that this is going to be the strong suit that he thinks it is."
-General Wesley Clark

  • American people to Wesley Clark: we aren't at all tickled with McCain but you can STFU you political whore. The only reason you are bashing him is because you want a cabinet position from Obama. You have no honor wesley.

  • Wow, McCain served in the armed forces yet these imbeciles question his 'national security credentials'... Mmmm, what has his counterpart Obama done for the nation..?

  • Bam clark just stated the most obvious facts, he just killed McCain.

  • yeah lol@ mccain flexing his POW experiences.....

its horrible yeah, but hell any of us young guys nowdays could suffer that same fate....you join the armed forces understanding this? I thought....

But its funny because politics are geared to the masses, so they come up with these phrases and topics that reach people on lots of levels and draw those ugly lines of bi-partisan politik :(

  • Hating America is a DAMN good reason for me NOT to vote for Obama. McCain singing "bomb Iran" is a fairly humorous response to Ahmaddy-jaddy wanting to wipe Israel off the map. We got to deal with Iran soon enough; you can't honestly believe singing "Kumbaya" is going to achieve that, can you?

  • @QuartuvLarry: Loving America does not qualify a person to be president of America. There are more Americans who love her compared to those who do not not. The job of a president is much more complicated than it used to be. John Mccain needs to study the English language first before seeking the oval office.Georoge Bush could not pronounce the two simple words "Nuclear proliferation" and he is already planning to bomb Iran.John Mccain sang "bomb bomb Iran". Too bad for hos aspiration.

  • With the nation in so much debt from overspending on social programs and earmarks, you think Obama pulling a dumbass move like free healthcare is going to solve anything?

And what do you expect me to say about McCain? Defend him? What for? He doesn't hate America. That's about it.

  • Being a POW for nearly five years and not understanding what went on during the Vietman war does not make anyone to be qualified to be president. There is no better person qualified to make that claim than General Wesley Clark. Mccain cannot even speak the English language fluently. He neither understands the Internet nor use the computer. President of Rwanda may be OK for him but not the president of the United states of America.

  • @QuartuvLarry: Mccain would be a 20th century president if elected. Prof. Obama would be a 21st century president if elected. Mccain is almost power drunk. Obama is not. Your dollar will contin ue to slide downwards as long as the likes of Bush are in control.

  • You can't honestly think that Obama's socialism will strengthen the dollar! Ha! Small wonder everyone who hates America wants Obama as president! He hates America too!

  • @barackobamasucks: The president of the USA is the de facto president of the world. If John Mccain becomes president he will most likely bomb Iran and launch Armageddon that will surely affect me here in Germany. I have taken more interest in the US elections more than in the German elections becuase I know the power that the next US president is going to wield and the possible effect it would have on my life. The weak dollar coupled with the hyper inflation are examples of bad BUSH governance.

  • I guess you didn't understand what I was saying. You are a German living in Germany. You don't get to vote for the US President. Your country has started two world wars and killed Jews by the millions. My point is that you should worry about your own country and don't worry about mine. I could care less what you think of John McCain. You people thought Hitler was a great guy and that killing Jews was a good idea. I don't think we need your advice.
