Chris Cooper does a great job on this very difficult song from a concert in Lithia Springs, GA, on Oct. 18, 2009. Other group members are Bruce Taliaferro (lead), Danny Riley (baritone), and Tim Riley on the bass until another permanent member is found.

I love this song!! I heard it in person (with Steve singing it) back when they where doing the "revival tour" I got to meet them all and got an autograph from them!
and about the Bass line there basicly is none in this song it's a tenor song get over it lol jk but seriously there is not much bass in that song
and what is going on with Aaron McCune? he (for his age) is an amazing Bass!! I will miss his voice but I'm all for Tim coming back (at least for awhile!)

Chris is doing an outstanding job as tenor with the guys. I never thought anyone could do this song justice like Steve Ladd done it but Chris has nailed it.

What happened to Tim? I've got Gold City singing this on CD, and it just isn't the same without a strong bass in there.

Tim retired several years ago but is back with the group until they decide to get another bass. I would say that they bass that was on the Revival CD (Aaron McCune) was a strong bass but Preach the Word just doesn't have that strong of a bass line.
