-
nice rythem in the jumps
-
@CSxrose to keep the horse from veering outwards (refusing a jump).

Beautifully ridden! Well done, and lovely horse too :) xx

actually, a gymnastic line and a grid are basically the same thing
I jumped one today with 3 fences, 1 stride between each. The striding doesn't really matter, its just continuous line fences.

it kind of isn't a gymnastic line, and kind of is. Because it's 3 fences one after another, it is. but typically a gymnastic is progressive: bounce to one stride to two stride, or something like that, and each following jump is bigger than the first. they're used to train the horse and rider over bigger jumps without them having to think about getting the correct distance, because the distance is set already.

to keep the horse straight and not run out of the jump.
A gymnastic is any series of consecutive jump set at any stride. You can do a bounce, to a one, to a two stride, as long as their one after the other. A 7 stride line is definatly not a gymnastic, nor is a rollback, just to show an example.
