Pearl Jam headlining the Outside Lands Festival (08.28.2009) at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco from about 60 feet from stage left.

This was an amazing show! With an unusually hot day today, it couldn't have been better weather for a summer concert in Golden Gate Park! With the sunset behind the stage, Pearl Jam came on and the thousands of fans on the polo field rocked on.

  • Whatd you guys think of incubus?

  • Yeah, well I really wanna see Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, Kanye West and Empire of the Sun again-- but you're right-- most of the bands have been touring for the last year or few years. If i could afford it, I'd go to Coachella, but as it is, I'm saving up for an 8 hour drive down to the Gorge-- it's the ten year anniversary and it's 4 days-- should be good!

  • @fingerminger well i had already seen all those bands either at coachella or sasquatch.. and My Morning Jacket at the Gorge was terrific Yim Yames' voice just kept on rolling out and over everyone it was awesome.

but ya thats why i dont really care for the lineup of coachella this year its nothing special all those bands have been touring already. its meh

  • @pink665 Yeah, the lineup was definitely better in 09, but Outside Lands in 2010 was phenomonal-- My Morning Jacket, Bassnecter, Temper Trap, Phoenix, Nas and Damian Marley, and Empire of the Sun closed it. Was not a weak lineup, despite being two days-- I had fun!

  • @fingerminger i didnt go last year i thought it the lineup got weak plus only 2 days? i have wolf like me up on video from outside lands but yeah sasquatch was better.

  • @pink665 Actually it's funny you say that because I spent 2 grand to see TV on the radio play for 1 hour. My friends saw them at Sasquatch and I actually planned on going to Lollapalooza but things didn't pan out. As for their performance, I think it was their best rendition of Wolf Like Me. Love dog was not their best but it was their last show for christ sake. Did you go to Outside Lands in 2010?

  • @fingerminger tv radio was good but not that great. i saw them earlier that year and they werent that great at outside lands, sasquatch show was better... plus how can you say they were better if you said you weren't there on friday..

  • For sure I'll be there so just come find me

  • @Hajonious I don't hate pearl jam, I just think they aren't that great. You don't have to tell me to get my head out of my ass to appreciate mediocre music. Like you stated music is preference that's why you can't argue that. If I went on friday I would have seen thievery corporation instead of Pearl Jam. Last year was awesome, I'm planning to go this year, SO STOKED. You goin this year? I'm sure I'll find you, all I have to do is look for the dude with his head up his ass

  • @fingerminger I think if you took your head out of your ass and listened to the music you would find out why Pearl Jam has all the hype that they do. There is a reason they have been around for 20 years. Which band is better is all opinion though so I can't really argue that.
