@sonny19xx To make it short: That is absolutely not what Kantian ethics boils down to.

Very good attempt. Many of these philosophers make their systems of philosophy look more complicated than they actually are. This is especially true of the German philosophers like Kant and Hegel. Well what does Kantian ethics boil down to is this: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". This ethic is retold in so many words.

@freemediavideos why? and it's not the golden rule...golden rule= aristoteles, categorical imperative=Kant...

@freemediavideos : jeez...it took me longer than 2 min to read your post!!
If you can't grasp the ideas of "2 min introductions" then you shoud probably stay away from the Kant books....I see your point, but jeez!

Good summary of Kantian Ethics.

Yeah Nietzsche is interesting. Just don't go making the Fallacy of Composition just because he has a couple good points.
-
Yeah fuck him. He's just some loser who doesn't conform to atheist rhetoric dominant in modern philosophy! My brain is becoming more open minded studying this shite IT HURTS"!
I must say, a very daring attempt to summarize his deontology in only 2 minutes! Certainly a first- most likley best for newcomers to philosophy.

No matter how hard you try, Kant is almost nearly impossible to reduce to a two-minute summary. This reduces Kant's argument to the "golden rule": treat others as you would want to be treated. It says nothing of the role of pure practical reason as an a priori cause, which is perhaps the most important element Kant is forced to develop in his moral philosophy.
