He stood in front of the ceramic pot, straddling it and grabbed it with his heels and threw it up in the air. He then turned around to the left looking up at the pot facing it and then caught it. Yeah, pretty amazing dexterity and balance indicative of a lot of practice and hard work.

This was so sweet! Evan got a lot of flack on sytycd for being short, making it hard for him to dance with some of the taller girls on the show. Here is the perfect example of height differences and how a good choreographer uses his talent. Since Evan's idol is Gene Kelly and he captures the spirit of this style, it is good to know there is someone in the 'Gene' pool that can carry it on. Look for Ryan Kasprzak on season six, he will also be a favorite to those who want real entertainment!

It's actually La Plazita Olvera or Olvera St. in Los Angeles California, right across the street from Union Station. It's a historical landmark.

A beautifully choreographed duet in a stunning looking market square set. So many great tricks: the candles, the pottery, the skipping rope, the rotunda they polka around- and finally, the charm of Sharon McManus- a foreshadowing of Gene's chemistry with children which would flower a few years later in "An American In Paris." The very end of him sadly walking away- upon seeing the girl he loves with another man (off camera)- is heartbreaking.

In the studio. You can always tell by the shadows on the floor.
