God i still can't figure out how you play this fucking game.Everytime i try to use Ryu's shroyuken it does hadoken i can't even get that far...most confusing fighting game ever. i will still with Tekken /Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat thanks.

@DoubleAsian616 Yes pretty good team. Right now, I'm trying to experiment with teams for a bit. But before my team was Felicia, Zero, and Akuma. And I used Zero's Shippuga assist to help Felicia extend her combos often.

@ZXShadow1 "Most" people jumped on the band wagon when MVC3 was released. They assume things because of appearances. And yeah, I'm well aware Ryu is getting buffed. He's probably the 2nd most imrproved character next to Capt America. I use Ryu extensively on one of my teams. Ryu Magneto Wesker., with Mag's Hyper Grav assist, Ryu is opened up to wonders of combos, and with a nice OTG by wesker, it makes for a solid relaunch. I can probably do a 32-hit combo, no meter. About 600K.

@DoubleAsian616 Well, you're probably right about the speed thing. And yeah, it really does depend on the person playing. (I never really tried to compare their speed, so I just assumed Akuma was slower). And yeah, Ryu's combos are very good, very good for beginners. But like I said before, people see Akuma and automatically think he's better, and that Ryu is useless compared to Akuma. Which is not the case. Did you know that their buffing him up in UMvC3?

@ZXShadow1 I don't agree with some of the things you're saying. Akuma IS faster than Ryu, he has the fastest walk speed in the game, and his normals are obnoxiously fast. Ryu has better hitbox oriented normals. Yes Ryu's Tatsu floats, but it's not safe at all in the air, whereas Akuma's are. Akuma is suited for the diehard rush down players, he's definitely more difficult to use than Ryu who is user friendly to all levels of play. Not to mention his SIMPLE punish combos do 400K+ with no effort.

@IKEEMBLEM People see Akuma and automatically think he's better, which is not the case. Akuma has stronger attacks and may have the strongest lvl 3 (does 485,000 dmg) But Akuma is slower and a bit harder to use. Akuma's Aerial Tatsumaki Zankyukyaku does not hover like Ryu's, plus Ryu's Shinku Hadouken has more areas to aim then Akuma's Mesattsu Gohadou. It really all depends on the person.
-
@IKEEMBLEM too hard to land the first hit, easier with other characters. just saying.
-
People don't like him 'cause he doesn't have great mobility, and his range is medium-poor. He's a great character, indeed, but if the player doesn't know how to get in, he's useless.
-
damn... ryu combos do crazy damage to say they're so simple to do o_O
-
@IKEEMBLEM i think its cuz when people first play as him they dont really know how to use him to his full potential. hes has all these great moves...like an unexperienced player with him would say hes tool slow and broken. but hes really a great character. i love using him
Sorya Sorya Orya I want some pound cake Sorya Orya Sorya Orya
