Yeah $16000 is a little steep for solar power you only can use for for 1/2 the year plus got to be licensed in this state to do that.

we have solar power. there is 4 all up in the house and 2 in shed. (+ that small thing i use)

That old window unit cleaned up nicely. Can't beat those little units for quick installation. I'm spoiled with my central AC and the systems I've installed for friends. It's just so labor-intensive and expensive (unless you have a friend in the trade or you can do it yourself) to put it in.

yer old box units are the best. the ground floor has no chance of central but im thinking of installing one for top floor or at least a big split
