  • This is a watered down version of the British band The YARDBIRDS song. The original.

  • @ScunneredMan it's called a cover.. So please elaborate, how is it watered down? It has the same structure and just as tasty of a guitar solo

  • im glad duane and greg moved away from this, not that its bad, but songs like Hot Lanta and les bres in a minor make this sound like crap as far as musical depth

  • @GJAndJCVideos yes those songs do have more depth, but that's mainly because they did this song so early in the careers. Oh and side note, Les Bres in A minor was done after Duane passed

  • hahaha not clapton??? whats that about?? any way great post! thanks a lot

  • hah I honestly don't remember why I put that in there..maybe to start a little scuffle hah just playing.. because Spoonful is in the title is why I think I put it but it was such a while ago i dont remember sry

  • duanes riffen on jeff beck and i think beck would like it!or maybe not jeff can be a bit weird//checkout down in texas/a cut on this album I herd this thing for the first time in 74 encouragement for me even the mighty ABB.had a beginning and a hot one at that..I miss that skydog

  • @1blastman Tell it like it is friend..

  • Was n Daytona prior to this when the Allman brothers were the Allman Joys,,Just a natural progression,,once heard Gregg say,,Man I'd wake up in the middle of the night & Duane would be wailin on his axe..sure miss that man..

  • I'm a Yardbirds fan from that era and I love this cover. It's a great tribute to Jeff Beck, Keith Relf and the rest of the 'birds from the mid-60's. Of course they evolved from this to more intricate pieces, but this is like opening a time capsule and finding a rare gem of music. Like the Spoonful cover also.

    Got any more?

  • what a great cover! hard to distinguise between Yardbirds and them

  • I was at the show in Tuscaloosa Al. at The Fort Branden Armory. This was 1965or66. It was my birthday. My cousin Bill Connell played drums for them that night.I stood right next to Gregg.Of course I became a huge Allman Brothers fan.I still am.The greatest band in the world today.

Thank you for posting this. This brings back memories.
