Though many may not agree with how we apply our Wing Chun I think these are some good examples of people attempting to use what they learned in class during their very first International full contact event outside of the school:
Training/sparring like this:

Yes they weren't perfect but you've got to start somewhere.

p.s. we do have round punches in our WC.

  • Well although he is attacking with boxing style but his still goes for his center line and gave no chance to opponent. He got the principles (The center line theory)

  • @zergsimon The guys in yellow are using WC tactics that many aren't familiar with. It is boxing. Chinese Boxing.

  • This is called Boxing if there are peoples who don't know about Martial arts... lol.. they are boxing and if it was to be called WC it would be a disgrace... learn than fight!!!

  • @Akira252252 If you're referring to the round punches there are a few lineages of Wing Chun that have round punches. But of course you know that 9th level instructor.

  • -When are you guys going to realize finally that wing chun is not a style-It's a method.

  • @wckwoon

Man got to say ... Whatever the martial art... i respect it as a martial artist myself...

anyways the video was great.. :DD

  • @wckwoon well done, this is clearly wing chung, beautiful that he could actually apply some of the principles

  • @wckwoon I know... but it is alright.. i have saw some... lineages of WC which has round punches... but wen i was a beginer my instructor said that it was taken off boxing and other martial arts by some one called Leung Bik....

My instructor always taught me traditionally, however included some high kicks but that was it.... :DD

  • @Akira252252 Well, I must inform you that they're doing the Wing Chun we teach. All Wing Chun isn't the same. I've learned that after 41 years in WC. Also, if you expect to do perfect techniques against a resisting opponent bent on wrecking you you're in for a rude awaking.

  • @osnaconlove Yaap Ikr...

  • @wckwoon haha lol

I do wing chun aswell... actually i am level 9th instructor in London Wing Chun association...

they are good but then they are not using the wing chun system...

i am not saying that is "not good" but i won't call that wing chun...
