Amare Stoudemire the basketball center forward for the Phoenix Suns, and confirmed for the 2008 Summer Olymics in Beijing, talks about his execise regime after his injury. ""Eric Phillips is probably one of the best physical trainers out there. With the way he works, and the way he works with me, we practice perfection. We want to make sure we do every exercise the correct way, and make sure we get the best, and the most out of it. I definitely make a conscious effort to do every exercise the correct way, and I was consistent with it, and stuck with it. It was hard, it was three days of three-four workouts per day, but I still stuck with it and pushed through it.""

  • I think it's about knowing your body. Kobe Bryant also works out several hours a day, but his body is so fit that it don't ware itself down that much. However, if you want to train hard, the muscles require at least 48 hours of rest in between workouts. I think that's a major reason why a lot of players these days get injured.

  • Yes,

    These Players might do

Conditioning, Shooting, Weights, Pick up = 4 Workouts.

    Or

    Shooting, Weights, Yoga, Team Practice.

However i would say most of the time they would be doing 3

  • @noonevincecarterfan i know right i dont get that

  • FAV player. the best

  • depends on the person

  • maybe that's why nba players cant do 360between-the-legs and crazy shit. they just work too hard and are too tired.

  • amare talks about working out 4 times a day. It seems like a lot of nba teams and players do that. i've allways been told to strength train less than 75 minutes a day and for max 3 times a week to prevent the body from waring itself down, so i dont really understand that

  • smart man, definitely thinks about the future

  • amare isn't going to be in the olympics this year:( but at least he's made the decision to be careful about his injury and use his summer to prepare for the upcoming season!
