@Feisty1967 I was born in 1967 too,and respectfully,I disagree with you.The 1970s were MUCH more of a sexually promiscuous era,as evidenced by the 'Looking for Mr Goodbar' scenario or the casual sex portrayed in 'Annie Hall'.Don't forget the Swinger party originated in the 1970s and I can tell you the Aus rock scene was pretty wild at the time. When Aids became an issue in 1981,it led to a period of moral conservatism we're still wrestling with today.Swings and roundabouts.

@fantail31 I don't know if you're into rock at all but if you listen to a band thats been around for a couple of years now, called Children Collide, you will find that they are one of the rare bands that have their own sound. But in general I agree with what is stated and that it is a shame about Hip Hop (especially Aussie Hip HOp) coz it is a great genre (I'm 42),

@CelebrateDiversity1 I was more of a Linda Ronstadt man myself. As far as Gadd and Jackson are concerned, how do you compare pedophiles? Would gladly have shot both of them.

Obviously there must be something wrong with me to think that Noosha Fox was attractive-and more attractive than Kate Bush (who,I also like!!) But there must be something really wrong with me as it annoys me that Gary Glitter has, basically, been written out of music history (though Michael Jackson would never have been, even if he had been found guilty!) Anyway,if I'd had sex with Noosha Fox in 1976 I would have been really happy!!!

Ah! those lovely long hot summer days in '76 with this playing on our local FM station. Great Memories

@CelebrateDiversity1 Poor man's Kate Bush, a very poor man's Kate Bush.
The only kitsch thing about this song is the fashion. The song itself cooks! Great bass line, funky guitar riff and a vocal with real personality and melody AND the production would hold its own today! Todays Diva's have no idea about melody or hooks, they only know how to shake their tush. back then you had to rely on the actual song. And since we live in an era with no true flavour of its own apart from hip hop, most of which will be consigned to the dustbin of history, this song will be back

This is a great piece of 70's schlock-pop, I remember this song as a kid and thinking Noosha had one of the cutest voices ever. Kenny Young is one of rock's most under-rated geniuses - for someone who started out writing pop hits in the 60's like "Under the Boardwalk" and "Captain of Your Ship" to becoming an environmental guru is awesome. I also love his song "Unconditional Love" which he wrote and performed with Gentlemen Without Weapons in the 80's. Just shows that diversity pays off!
