The fact that this is garbage is not surprising, in the least; most of modern so-called art is the same. What is surprising is that wealthy collectors, who may be brilliant in their own businesses, abruptly become drooling imbeciles when they pay for for this trash. An incomprehensible phenomenon.

the art market is a tough one to crack - he's done it > I applaud him.

Hirst must laugh out loud and dance around the room when he's alone, ecstatic that he has pulled off this ridiculous farce upon the general public and the art establishment, who pay him fortunes for his "art". Yeah, you pulled it off, you prick.

This is my opinion about DH :
...because the line between art and garbage can be thin.
Sometimes even artists cannot see it.

If Hirst was noble he would donate money to charity rather than making expensive art with Diamonds. Yea Hirst your too much of a pussy to comment back. There's drought going on everywhere, and you could ease pain but your too pretentious, arrogant, and conniving.
You've gotta love Hirst, he's fleecing the rich ignorant self-styled art aficionados for a mint with his quickly slapped together "art-factory" produced works.
Sure he's a con-artist but he's only conning the idiots that can afford it. ^^

OF COURSE the rich can afford ridiculously overpriced art in these times of economic turmoil ... they're the ones enjoying all the tax cuts!
