  • @Jacobitess For an experiment like this where a filmmaker dives into a painting, which takes him two years to show his love, combining two artforms like this a little

more respect at least could be wishes for. I am sorry you feel this free world

needs to listen your comments inhere. But allez voila. You could delete ofcourse.

    I would.

  • Thank you for posting this. Charlotte Rampling, Rutger Hauer and Michael York

do give great credibility to the cinema. This looks like a very interesting film experiment to me.

  • FUCK YOU FOR PLACING AN AD IN FRONT OF AN AD

  • Incredibly deeply fractal and relative visual symbolism. Think about what picture frames are usually made of as you realize that each frame of this film could stand alone as a painting, then think about what human nature is framed with. If you like thinking about what things mean instead of just what happens on the surface, you will like this one.

  • Reminds me of derek jarman's Caravaggio

  • Like watching paint dry

  • boring

  • this looks smashing.

  • Hauer and York! Guaranteed first-class performances, even if reading the telephone book:)

  • Ah, I want to see it! I hope it's playing near me...

  • Just finished watching this movie. It's absolutley georgeous to watch the painting come to life in such beautiful colour. This is one of my favourite films of the year along with Sokurov's Faust and Malick's The Tree of Life. What a beauty :)
