This song may seem a little controversial, but it was actually inspired by the Saint Pete riots of 23-October-96 in Florida, which were sparked when Officer James Knight shot unarmed black motorist Tyron Lewis. Black Fists Rising tells a story of man tired with the system, therefore he takes a leadership role in order to bring change.

Verse 1:
Black fists rising, lets keep it real.
Mad at the government is how we feel.
This is a warning, you better pay attention
to the message that I am sending.
They crossed the line, even did it twice.
One more time, theyll pay the price.
Cause size doesnt matter, if they are bigger.
Set me off, by pulling the trigger.
For a change to come, you pray to God.
But we need more, when times are hard.
Do you understand what I am saying?
On the bottom, we cant be staying.
Dont be a fool. Just use your head.
You gotta rise up. Get out of bed.
Give me some room, when Im in the joint.
I be the man to get to the point.

Verse 2:
They say I'm too strong in the words I speak.
I'm a hard-core brother that could never be weak.
I say what I mean, mean what I say.
If you are lost, I'll show you the way.
As I fill you with knowledge and power,
stand by your side in the finest hour.
For the struggle of our people, I say fight,
smash a few heads and do what's right.
You gotta be focused when you attack.
Never forget what it means to be black.
In times like these, I hope you can see
the type of brother that I truly be.
Lets join together to fight as one,
use your hands or pick up guns.
To end the war, its not too late.
Black Fist Rising. Feel the earthquake.

Verse 3:
Served in the army, I said it before.
Against Iraq, fought a holy war,
to free the people over in Kuwait,
when America is the racist state.
It makes me mad to fight for this country.
Burn the flag, cause now I see.
You wanna play, but you dont play nice.
You better just chill, keep it cold like ice.
I hit like Uzi ammunition,
this black man is on a mission.
You know my struggle and the reason
why Im fighting every season.
Think about it. Youre just like me.
Im just a man that wanna be free.
I know the law. I know Im right.
Best believe, Im ready to fight.
