@driftingranger I really enjoyed my stay there doing pilot training with the talon (lots of study though). Nice people there. But obviusly Sheppard AFB is in the middle of nowhere... Cheers!

Ground Power Unit dash 60, provides 28 VDC, 120 VAC 60hz, 120 VAC 400 Hz, and compressed air for starting a turbine engine. Powered by a small turbine engine, which is started with an electric motor. They have been around forever because they work.

Didn't think the Airforce had the dash 60 any more. used it many times on an ec 135 for starts, we also used cartridge starts on alert in the 80s
what is that thing?
