i use a 650 on local council an find it very good. if there r any johnston mechanics reading this though im after a bit of help/info. it is a left hand truck and the suck box wheel closest to the curb wears very quickly. but only the inner edge of the tyre. but the problem then this causes is that naturally the rubbers drop down, and start to wear+the wheel has to be adjusted more. but it ends up at maximum adjustment quickly then have to change the tyre again. any ideas? or adjustments?

The VT650 is a good machine, although we do prefer the 600 as we find them more reliable. Less to go wrong on them.

Most importantly is the chassis that it's fitted to....

No they're not! I got a demo from Johnston just a few weeks back. OK the machine was tidy, done what it said on the tin but it's fuel consumption is far higher and its payload capacity is severely reduced because of that stupid second engine and it chocked up way too easy.

I would love to own one here in the USA.. Heck, i live in MA and the street sweepers here suck. Those Johnston Sweepers would make better ones here is this state got up off its ass and invested in newer cleaner street sweepers. :P
