  • Thanks bro..years ago I dreamed up ways to re-cloth our 66..including making friends with a terry-cloth towel factory worker. He or she could duplicate that beautiful pattern and colors with modern materials then stash the original away then put the new one the set.

  • @WackerTerry

I do remember sending a fairly good picture of the front of my 66, good enough to make a pattern from. I hope they were successful. Never heard anything.

  • @AllAmericanFiveRadio Do you have any Idea what a radio like this is worth in working condition?

  • @mrt8ter

In collecting, condition is very important. This one I would prices it at $350-$450, with tubes.

  • Lol..yep..built like a tank. Ours had had the lower half of the stand removed sometime in its long past. My Dad still has it. The grill cloth is disintergrating.. Do you know who makes repro cloths for the 66?

  • @WackerTerry

I have not found a repro cloth yet, I would email Radio Daze or the Radiola Guy.

  • Hey I have a old bendix it has a bad coil I was wondering if you know where i could buy a coil for it

  • I recently inherited this. It has been in my family since the beginning. I remember as a child that it used to work. Sadly it no longer does. What is the best way to restore it?

  • Thanks WackerTerry

When I first got the 66 into the garage I though I would take the Speaker, Power supply, and Radio out first and that would make it easier to manage the cabinet into the house. I really did not notice any difference because everything is so heavy.

  • When I was a kid our landlady gave my Dad a Radiola 66. I loved and still love old radios and treasured that set. When it first arrived I cleaned the tube pins plugged it in and it worked beautifully. I remember that slight hum .. Not much filtering in the PS lol :-). Definitly built like a tank. Seeing the video here brought fond memories again. It had the ST bulb tubes in it and eventually collected the original style bulb tubes for it I did.
