Looks like he was new. By the way the other guys was telling him where to direct the water. Also from showing they are useing a tender for water shuttle. They needed to save water till the tender arrived.

My department is the same on the bad days of no man power. I think they did a good job considering everything working against them. It was a defensive fire anyways already well involved.

Lots of Monday morning quarterbacks...small volunteer department in suburban area (aka daytime response issues). Two firefighters on first due rig...no hydrants. Exposures WERE trailers on (B or #2) side...but owners moved them prior to initial attack. Demo modular home... fire resistive const. 400' Engine to fire...good job considering lack of manpower..and mutual aid 15 mins + away. End result still going to be same...no injuries..and good video. Yep...was there !

@VinPre16 Your spelling is pretty poor. I don't see any major problems, maybe a little slow getting water, but looks like they had to extend the line. Nozzleman should've gone to straight stream, but not the worst mistake. This was an unoccupied demo home, it's gonna be a total loss. They probably don't have the manpower to go interior, at least initially. It could be they've got a new guy on the nozzle, we all been that guy. They did what they could, Kudos. Ugly ass fire truck though...
