  • i am Asian, i liked INTERACTIVE SCRIPT.

  • Yes I understand I didn't understand JavaScript at first but then when I figured out EVERYTHING was an object in JS it just made my life easier but in order to interact with users (of your website) JavaScript is needed, CSS/HTML technically can't interpret events.

  • man i hate javascript, and if the basic 3d animations/graphics aren't taken care of by css3 or html5, thats just bull shiiit.

  • That's just the structural and presentational layers trust me you'll still need JS no matter what.

  • but using JavaScript to manipulate the DOM is so easy but I get it you already invested some much time into learning and developing with actionscript I saw this coming thankfully raw JavaScript & JQuery they're not that difficult to learn.

  • Step 1: Get a single core machine under 2GHz and run a Flash video at 480p. Notice the smooth playback. Step 2: Run the same video using HTML5 and watch it stutter like f**k. In the end, HTML5 needs to optimized a lot more to run on low-powered low-clocked systems to make a dent in Flash "market share". Also, I don't appreciate that Google Chrome 19.0.1084.1 dev-m chooses HTML5 for some videos and Flash for others since I'm not in the beta test for HTML5 on YouTube.

  • I don’ have a high opinion about JavaScript and really wish I don’t have to deal with it (except for bare minimum), but with HTML5 taking center stage, I am afraid I have no choice but go with it. It’s like a nightmare comes true.

  • Sorry to say that but i agree with @fthis1234567 by expirience in working with javascript in webdevelopment, i have to say: developing stable and easy to understand code in javascript is pretty much impossible in javascript. especially when you have to workaround several bugs in the javascript frameworks that you have to use :-S

  • Hmmm does this mean youtube videos in html5 will play nicely with my ipad2?

  • as long as html5 and css3 are as efficient as possible, I look forward to saying goodbye to jquery and much of javascript. Fuck javascript.
