May 18, 2009: Today Velvet Revolution filed complaints against 12 Bush Administration attorneys who advocated the use of torture on detainees. During WWII my father (Navy) stated that he was always proud of the fact that when Americans captured German or Japanese soldiers, the lawyers/military would never have sanctioned or practiced torture. Instead, if we wanted information from the 'enemy', American interrogators would drink whiskey and play cards with the prisoner getting more information from him than they would if they had practiced torture. Keep up the good work!

We will not admit we have done wrong. We have not yet prosecuted those who did wrong. We must hide evidence of our wrongdoing so that other people don't hate us for doing wrong.

These lawyers tried to ok torture for their powerful boss, despite it's obvious criminal status. Will Obama enable torture and other crimes for any of the rich and powerful able to hire lawyers who can write memos?
