so 50 is 50 below 100

and 50 is 50 below 100

50-50 =0

and 50-50 =0

so 0 is the first number...

50x50 (which is the actual question) is 2500

so the final answer is 02500

this method makes you do the original calculation in the 'simple' method :/

@antochig11 no its not. both say 4170. This method is not presented complete(complete as "for dummies" ) cause it doenst show what happens then the last multiplication is greater than 100. Here is what should be:

87 13 | 98-13=85| we write [8500]

98 02 | 87-02=85| we write [8500]

13x02=[26] finally its 8500+26 =8526

now lets do the same with your example

83 17| 90-17=73| we write [7300]

90 10| 83-10=73| we write [7300]

17X10=[170] finaly 7300+170=7470

(hope no mistakes :P )
