Pedestrian Hit by Car at 40Mph Loses Leg

Pedestrian starts crossing street at 25th and Lyndale ave south, Minneapolis. Cars are stopped a block away in both directions at stop lights. Plenty of time to cross, right! He makes it to within 6ft of the curb. The car was totaled. His leg lands 30ft behind in front of a car. Recently he has been spotted at Hum's liquor store 22th and Lyndale with his prosthetic leg.

it doesn't matter . Yeah maybe the driver should have slowed down but she walked acorss 4 lanes of traffic in a non pedestrain crossing zone. the driver would get is a speeding ticket.

I agree with eddie070878. I'm sure 40 miles an hour is not nearly enough to rip off a leg (never the less, two legs) and knock it 30 feet in the other direction.
