This was Kieran's first ever mountain trip (aged 5) He summited Snowdon then did Crib Goch, helping some adults down on the way. He then went on to do most of the other Welsh 3000's the same weekend. Now aged 8 he's sea kayaking and learning white water skills. He says Devil's Ridge on Ring of Steall in Scotland is also great fun - his first Scotish Mountain experience (on his 7th b'day) done in winter because he likes snow.

Great video, cant wait to go up!

@rod28cricket Hmm, IMO Tryfan is as scary as Crib Goch, especially up near the top - maybe even worse. If you can do Tryfan, you can do Crib Goch.

you certainly have some cahonas! lol can i borrow them? pmsl

Yeah, we didn't know what we were doing, to be honest! We'd heard that the PYG track was a difficult and rewarding walk, and when we came to a style, one way looked flat and dull, whilst the other way looked... well, difficult and rewarding. We were totally out of our depths, but it was a busy Saturday in summer - Lucky!
I'm very glad that I found myself on Crib Goch, and very glad of the experience, but that night my mind replayed every footstep and replaced each one with a trip and a fall.
Great video, hats off to you for doing it.
I suffer with vertigo and I'm desperately battling it. I've done Snowdon via Watkin Path recently, Tryfan is my next goal. But Crib Goch remain my lifetime goal. Not sure if I'll ever do it though, it looks to scary.

The terrain is generally very good all the way up and along and the climbing straightforward and easy. There is a steep but short section at the base of the ridge that is a bit tricky to find a way through but the next section is an easy walk/climb to the top. The ridge is classed as a grade 1 scramble meaning that there is no real need for rope protection but there are some exposed sections where caution is needed.
