its good to start off with, i've had it about a year now and still treats me well. i think it set me back around £250 with the external soundcard. It depends how much money you can spend and how serious you want to take it. If its just a hobby then this is fine, but if you're looking to go further then it might be worth biting the bullet and getting something a little better or some cdjs, depending on your style/preference. hope this helps.
