You'll explore the impossibly lush and fertile beauty of Dominica, and follow us through the Valley of Desolation, and all along the grueling Boiling Crater Lake trail. This well produced and narrated video will spare you a 6 - 8 hour roundtrip through the click of a mouse.

  • This was the most owesome hike I've ever done! It took every ounce of energy of me to finish it and every part of my body ached, but the sence of accomplishment is invaluable. The sights are worth the effort, I am so glad I was able to do it. Thanks for posting the video. Lilian

  • This must be a volcano

  • ah i've been there... it took soooo long... but worth going!

  • After leaving a tight line you continue your way on the back of a water-pipeline into the rainwoods, acending to the top of a crest, descending in a brimstone colored valley with many hot springs.

Between this Valley of Desolation and the Boiling Lake you take a bath in of the natural small "bad tubs" located in a squiring warm stream overgrown with orchids called "bird of paradies"

Sitting in those tubs was one of the funniest and most beautyful things I did during my Caribean trips.

  • BIG BIG hike.

  • LAND OF my BIRTH

    dominica

    i love this place

  • Been there, done that. Its like the journey from Lord of the Rings. I was sooo tempted to drop a ring in boiling lake. I think IF I ever go back, that is EXACTLY what I'll do.

  • my father is from Dominica

  • born and raised in Dominica and I've never been simpley because I'm afraid of the hike. Next time I go there I will definitely go.
