About 2:30 when i mention friends I MEANT TO SAY that they were the ones who were cool with everything - 1st friend i told actually had a secret too, so it was a relief to realise while struggling with my sexuality at that age to come out to someone who was going through the same things as i was. We both then decided to tell the rest of our friends at the Ice Bowl. They were all taken a little by surprise, but they were cool with it all. However, news spread like wildfire when friends told their friends and their friends told their friends - thats where the teasing bit i was talking about came from!

  • Well done and great video. Your memories remind me of my own experiences :)

  • =] i hope they were good memories? and thankyou =]

  • it sucks that it had to happen that way

but you did the right thing by calling your friends and asking them for advice.

can't wait to watch part 2!

  • =] thanks

    glad your enjoying it

  • Hey thanks for the comment! Unfortunately it came out as an accident for you but at least it did, right?

And do you really think it's a phase?

  • Your welcome - and thanks for the comment here :) Yeah im not saying the coming out was a bad thing, but maybe it wouldve been better for me, if i had the coming out, rather than leave around the evidence lol

And tbh with you i dont know what to think. At the moment im going by how i feel, and at the moment im attracted to guys - i have been for a long time. But labels and stuff like that i dont like. So whoever comes by, and if its love, then its love lol

  • You've been very brave, also with your parents. I also received a strongly and compulsory education....it was very difficult for me accepting to be in this way!

  • Yes ten years ago this coming June in London where I originally come from. I remember I joined a group called NRG in Waterloo and it all took off from there. Discovered the likes of the KU Bar and GAY and all of that. The last ten years has flown by. Thanks for sharing :)

  • this is a great story. it is not easy to share our embarrassments and the bewildering ways that our emotions sometimes lead us to behave. the part about locking yourself in the bathroom is touchingly funny. especially since most of the coming out stories you see posted would have the mom running upstairs and locking herself in the bathroom... thanks for sharing. there are other people in your situation who will benefit from this. (now on to parts 2 and 3)

  • given the difficulty you were having talking to your parents (despite your underlying love and trust of them), do you think that it might be possible that your mother's discovery of the book was not entirely an accident? her question 'do you have something to tell me' makes me think that she thought you had left it there for her to discover... i'm not judging-- just offering a way of looking at that situation that if it contains some truth might give you some insight into yourself.
