That day it was sitting on about 130mph in town where it is sheltered. Out at the satellite earth station where it is more exposed it was getting 157mph for the one minute averages. The peak wind gust are normally about 50% higher, but we didn't get a reading because the wind gauge stopped working after the insulation was literally blown off the cable.

That is some seriously f***ed up weather down there. You go out and lose sight of the station for a couple of seconds there's no guarantee they'll even find your frozen remains. :0
