  • ringer... for me i slice my irons. do u think its because i dont bend back a little like a driver. cuz i dont and that my be y. lol heres a tip for u for me 150 yards is a 7 iron for me. and par 3's u use a tee. so i would use a 6 iron (depends on wind) for LOFT. tell me some tips about that? thks :)

  • @Zug75 Only thing I can say for sure is that your path is outside to in relative to the clubface. That's what causes a slice.

As for par 3's, I always use a tee. Even if it's just a wedge.

  • How far away do you recommend standing from the ball. When i stand close i draw further away i slice ????

  • There is no set standard as long as you are balanced on the arches of your feet and you are allowing your arms to hang a little bit away from your body.

  • I believe in only two ball positions. Off the left ear for anything on the ground and off the shoulder for anything tee'd up.

I completely forgot to get into spine tilt for this video.

  • The key to lowering your handicap is the stretch, check out the brand new golf specific TRAINERmat at

  • you might get this i dont know, looks like its 3 months old but ne ways, here is a drill. 1. stand str8t up hold your butt of your club on ur belt line str8 out from you. 2 bent over till the clubhead hits the ground and then slide the club out till ur hands are under ur chin, ur back should be 90* to the club, this is general starting position, you can adjust from there, hope it helps

  • I for one, appreciate every single video Ringer posts.

Infact, I'm so impressed with these videos that I wish I could get personal instruction from him but I'm a broke college student living in another state far away.

    Maybe one day....

  • Being a teaching professional in the u.k I would never post an instruction video on the net.All over sudden the vultures start to swirl and all the smart arses who ''think'' they know start posting comments. This isn't the way I would teach a novice but as the P.G.A instruct me there is no set way to teach as long as the end goal is achived.

  • Is the ball position the same for all your clubs? Also, for your 5-iron, do you set the ball off your left ear before or after the spine tilt? And how much spine tilt?

Also setting the hands at different positions (center versus closer to left thigh) will change your shoulder alignment. So how exactly does that work?
