Hmmm... I remember when i bought this record, I was 18 (now 51), and this was one of a handful recordings that actually made me fall out of my chair when listening! My first encounter with Ruby Braff, and my ear-opener for Edmond Hall, which ever since became my favourite clarinettist.

日本ではこれを中間派ジャズと呼んでおりました。

特に有名なのがトロンボーンのヴィックディッケンソンがリーダー­シップをとったこのアルバムです。

ご存知かと思いますが、曲はコルトレーンのプレスティッジ盤「ソ­ウルトレーン」の演奏でも知られております。
