Special Gust Luis from http://myplanchetraining.com/ teaches you how to correct the most common mistake when performing a handstand, "The Banana handstand"
Great way to put it ... from a banana handstand to a straight handstand.
I'm not getting it. Extend the shoulders, tuck your head, pull (my brain stopped) ... its too amazing. Did he say tighten your bunns? I thought it was abs. Amazing. great video.
Rotation exercises are important for flexibility, as well as dynamic scapular control exercises. Theres a lot of good videos out there, anything which rotates the shoulder through different planes of motion using very light weights is good.
My personal favorite is holding a broom infront of the body, with an overhand grip and straight arms, making a v. Bring the broom up, straight arms the whole time, over your head, and down to your bum, then back to start. 50 reps every day.
sadly, in my case, the lacking factor is shoulder flexibility, not strength :(
does anyone have any tips for increasing shoulder flexibility? i'm using a stretch that involves lying on the floor with my arm behind me at different angles to stretch the shoulder joint, but i'd be happy to hear of more if anyone has any...
