Two Americas: One Rich, One Poor? Understanding Income Inequality in the United States

Kỳ Duyên was born in Saigon Capital, South Vietnam, and was just shy of 3 years old during the "Fall of Saigon" in 1975 when her family left for the United States. Her parents were anti-communist and worried that they would be persecuted by the North Vietnamese authorities after it succeeded in taking over South Vietnam. Her father, Nguyễn Cao Kỳ, was a former South Vietnamese prime minister, vice president, and air-force general and her mother Madame Nguyen Cao Ky. He had since made peace with the new regime in his former homeland.

Kỳ Duyên currently works as a Master of Ceremonies for Thúy Nga's Paris By Night videos and lives in Orange County, California. She was married to Trịnh Hội, a Vietnamese-Australian human rights lawyer/refugee advocate and a concert promoter.
Dec. 2, 2008, Kỳ Duyên and her second husband, Trịnh Hội, announced their plan to end the marriage.

Nguyễn Ngọc Ngạn (born on January 26, 1945) is a Vietnamese-Canadian writer and essayist.

He was born in Sơn Tây, Vietnam, but his family moved to South Vietnam when the Geneva Accords divided the country in 1945. After university and service in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, Ngan was imprisoned by the victorious communists after the fall of Saigon in 1975 and did forced labor in a re-education camp until 1978, an experience described in his autobiography, The Will Of Heaven. After his release, he escaped by boat to Malaysia in 1979; during the closing stages of the journey, storms hit the boat and knocked it over within sight of land. Ngan's wife and child drowned and he was pulled unconscious from the water. He was then sponsored by the Canadian government and brought to Vancouver, in 1980 moving to Prince Rupert, British Columbia and in 1985 to Toronto.
Ngạn is well known for his role as one of the two hosts of Paris By Night. He is the co-author of Ballad Of Mulan and The Blind Man and the Cripple - Orchard Village.
