Fabulous...hearing this in stereo. Brian will one day be in the books alongside Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart.....

Jim horn has to be one of the best names for a sax player

Great creative work, sir. Bravo. (And thanks.)
-
one of the best instrumentals of all time

I think this song as a 45-single should have been labelled "The Brian Wilson Orchestra"--NOT the Beach Boys! To me, this is THE SONG that put Brian up there with Bach and Mozart as a composer--even in just a 3-minute format, it is a stunning piece of musical beauty that makes you wish there was more! Just a shame that it was only the "B side" of "Good Vibrations"!

@stumptacular NO.. I doubt very much BW was doing ANY drugs here( maybe a joint later) because he is
waaaay too focused & driven- he is just TOtally into the music, directing the musicians, trying to realize
his vision & get the players to do what he is hearing in his head.
-
@BehindTheSounds he did say to his father that he took lsd but later said takeing drugs was the worst thing he ever did causing mental problems and medical bills

Then fuck off you twat. What exactly did Mike Love do to upset you, other than providing vocals and lyrics on some of the greatest songs ever recorded.
-
groovy indeed!
there shouldn't be any pictures of mike love in these videos....they just make me extremely upset

@easyrider332 This comment is stupid to begin to with, but you managed to multiply the stupid by posting this comment on a video that doesn't contain any pictures of Mike Love.

Looks like the Wrecking Crew did all of the work. Not the Beach Boys.

You do know who Brian Wilson is, don't you? The Wrecking Crew played the music, but didn't compose any of it.

Another great video! I can't wait for the next ones! You're brilliant at this, I think that you must do a LOT of research. Where do you get these bootlegs/takes?

Finding the info for who played what on each session isn't very difficult...it's verifying that information when listening to the actual sessions. There's some conflicting information as well.
Some of the audio comes from the official Sessions box set. Not going to discuss where the rest comes from, but it's out there.
