I sincerely hope the French nation sees the virtue of a monarchy. Being an American, even I can appreciate the deep cultural roots and ties such an institution has in common with the people. A strong, traditional France is the only France.

Return to your roots, and everyone will admire you as the pinnacle of what makes Europe special.

@TheEnglishpaladin Good points but more than this, the French Monarchy is completely intertwined with the Holy Roman Catholic Church. The two are indivisible, linked by the Sacred Heart. France, eldest daughter of the Church after a period of harsh trials will revive and the Church with her.

Louis XVI est arrivé sur le trône au mauvais moment, car s'il y eu la Révolution, ce n'était sans doute pas à cause de Louis XVI, mais des rois avant qui ont semés la Pagaille dans le royaume.

Peut-être un jour sera restaurée la monarchie, avec un roi intelligent, nous pourrions peut-être construire un jour une France Belle et Nouvelle. Le roi serai Louis XX De Bourbon qu'on n'appellerai sa

majesté avec honneur car celui-ci serai Français. Et le restera jusqu'à sa mort.

Tu as raison, le "Domine salvum fac regem" était chanté à la Cour de France en présence du Roy, je crois qu'il était chanté à chaque fin de messe au château de Versailles. Le peuple ne connaissait donc pas ce chant, et privilégiait en effet le "Vive Henri IV", chant bien plus populaire. En réalité, à l'époque, il n'existait pas d'hymne officiel, comme la Marseillaise aujourd'hui. C'est pourquoi les deux chants peuvent être considérés comme hymne officiel. ;)
