that was good, speed up the frame rate a little and take a few more photos

Just use a bunch more frames and make the pictures play faster. It is quite easy to do in windows movie maker. I'm no professional, I find that about ten frames per second usually works fine for me.(stupid 500 character limit!)

Really what you need is to take about ten times the pictures that you have been. Professionals use about 30 frams per second. Your stop motion is choppy and it can be hard to tell what is happening. If you used more frames everything would run smoother. The time that you put into a stop motion really shows in the end product.
