  • I absolutely adore Gretsch drums. I am a Jazz drummer, so my kit is a Catalina Club Jazz in White Marine Pearl that I did out with Fiberskyn heads and a set of vintage 50s cymbals. Luckily for me, the Jazz kit is one of the cheapest Gretsch kits out there, yet it is still the best kit I have ever owned. Gretsch is so versatile and it's great to see Gretsch drums standing up to rock too, like is this great video. You and I are two totally different drummers, but we have our love of Gretsch!

  • @bgwcl Thanks so much for watching and keep swingin' my jazz brother!

  • @russdonruss That is so awesome to hear! I too love the Gretsch Renown kits. While I was on the road this year, I had a couple of gig's were I would play my kit one night, and then I would have to play a back line kit the next. It didn't matter what brand the back line kit was, they NEVER held a candle to my Gretsch drums. Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for watching.

  • I love Gretsch drums. The sound is far better than anything else out there for the money. I originally bought a Catalina Stealth kit for the looks and gigging--but even the lower end Catalina series with Mahogany shells sounds great. I upgraded last year to the Renown Maples and fell in love with the sound. I won't play anything else. My Renowns sound better than any DW, Sonor or Yamaha kit. I've had compliments at live gigs and in the studio on the tone and warmth of my drums...

  • @sticksbangskins Oh OK. Ya that was a voice over. I didn't say it clear on the take so we had to over-dub it. I always though it was funny too. I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching
