Has anybody come up with a mod to add an antenna like the SRC ?

I have the G4 and would hate to loose the range, even though the G4 boasts a 1 mile range, I've found it to be aleast half that in real life useage. If the stated range of the SRC is 1/3 that of the G4, that really concerns me.
