i think the secrets has to remain secrets. we'll never get to know why he hates porcelain, what is the real secret of monkey island, where did he came from and so on...and by the way theres no political historical side of the game, it doesnt matter whats his nationality, thats why this game is played all over the world even here in hungary. yay. anyway england was found centuries before any pirate ever set foot on the caribbean

Its a fictional time period in the caribbean, This was ebefore england was even established. it was never ment to be real time dude. He was just a teenager in this monkey island, you want to play him when he was a kid and know where he was when he fell out of his mother virgina? Dude your talking shit, noone cares.
