  • Drugs did for Phil while Gary drank himself to death. Tragic.

  • @TheBritishLegions Phil was raised mostly in Dublin though, from the age of four, and always considered himself to be Irish, and Brian Downey was born and raised in Dublin. They were the heart of Thin Lizzy. Aside from Gary, the only full time recording Lizzy member from the north was Eric Bell, although early member Eric Wrixon was from Belfast. Make no mistake, whoever was in the band, wherever they hailed from, Lizzy was an Irish band in the hearts of Lynott and Downey.

  • Phil Lynott is the only person.....ever.....I heard first time and fell in love with. His voice and charisma mesmorised me before I even knew the legend. A great man and a beautiful person, he was also an inspirational musician and Cowboy song is to me a work of purity and innocence the like of which you'll rarely see nowadays.

  • @leurbost80

Gary Moore is from Northern Ireland as are most of Thin Lizzy...

Phil Lynott was as much an Englishmen (being born & raised there) as he was Irish and Guyanese ..

  • Got a decent quality version of this. Will upload it.

  • @leurbost80 He moved to London when pretty young and I think he just picked it up.

  • et merde...encore un grand musicien qui s'en va,....

    salope de mort....

à plus gary (see you later...)

  • Sad to see them together now that they both are with GOD! Rest in Peace boys!!!!
