@shazh1994 hi, no offense taken. I am Gujerati myself with my family who come from Porbander, Gujerat, and with all the Gujerati's I have met both professionally and personally have done it this way. I am curious as to the type you have seen. Have you got a link to a particular picture in the style you are describing so I can look into further...?

l0lz aww how sweet, no I'm just amazed by the art of saree draping, that's all really, n yea I am aware that the back end gets pulled over the head but that doesn't mean the front end can't be pulled over to the right side. n btw u might wanna check out styles like mermaid and rajashthani, I wonder what cute alternative ull come up with!

@shazh1994 yeah the front can be brought up..i've done that with my dupatta in the chaniya choli dupatta draping tutorials. It's like you say though, you can so creative with it .. and different to the norm. I like mermaid and I have that on my list to do..just can't decide which saree to use. I have a Rajesthani bride to do this year....can't wait!

I'm glad ur open to constructive criticism, show's how open minded you are :)
Unfortunately youtube won't let me link you but if you type in "How to Wear Gujarati Style Saree?" by the subscriber: utsavsarees, i think you'll know what I'm talking about. Another video is "How to drape Pochampally Ikat Sari Gujarati style, India" by subscriber: indiavideodotorg. Although she didn't do box pleats take a look at how the saree goes aaround her! But nevertheless ur styles are AMAZING

@shazh1994 hey, critiscism is a wonderful way to learn new things. I will keep this in my inbox and check out the links when I get a chance. Aww, thanks very much. I see you've researched a lot into draping. Are you interested in this personally or professionally?

U explained things well, and I'm not trying 2 offend u but it's not Gujerati, it's Gujarati n aren't u supposed 2 do box pleats where the pleats fall on both sides? n ur also suppose 2 cover ur back with the palla and pin it to the right side of the blouse, just a few things that went wrong. A saree correctly worn should cover most of a woman's body

@shazh1994 I know what you mean now, but that is not Gujerati...It's either an alternative method of wearing it...but in my mind I think it comes from Punjab from the way they wear their dupatta...I could be wrong...but it's definately not gujerati. Traditionally the back that hangs that shows the back, would be pulled up and used to cover the heads...still is during prayers. Hope that helps : )
