@DreamerMikee By making something extraordinary, it becomes easier to relate to.

@DreamerMikee I partly disagree with this. I am not saying that myths were invented for such a purpose, there might very well be such purposes as well, but when looking closer into the idea of myth the messages are usually more complex than that, and often deal with messages about nature vs culture, the raw vs cooked and so on. It is important to understand that by myth, it means the stories about mythological characters, such as Jesus.

So, is Joseph Campbell worth reading?
-
you're talking about restoring the power to the warriors. I.e. gaining power through the act of war. If you don't mean it, then don't write it. the warriors have lost the power today, politicians and other groups have the power now and you wish to give the power back to the warriors? no, you're misusing the idea of the warrior, substituting a more accurate description of life for a crude metaphor connecting the journey of your being to the killing of other beings.

hey dont put words in my mouth i never mentioned killing or destroying anyone,SO PLEASE read the words and coment on them and not on something that u invented ok.
thank you.:)

sorry, sayanlevel5, but i'm a pacifist and even though i like the spirit/idea of the warrior i think it is not worth the death of another being. pacifism to me means knowing you can handle any and all situations without having to kill anyone. in a better world at least.
