dont get me wrong the multiple browsing was great but i dont know the whole phone just didnt feel right, cheaply made, dead pixels bright spots appearing on the touch screen the apps where mostly rubbish and not many of them about.

I completely agree. I'm Canadian and it has the most outrageous phone bills in the world. Canadians settle for everything mediocre, we should really stand up against all cell phone and internet companies, it's shameful that we are an industrialized country without industrialized technology for what we're paying for!

Must be something to do with Canada's connection to France... French mobile data plans are the worst in Europe, and by far the most expensive. The best I've seen so far is Sweden/Denmark on the 3 network.

Do you have a spare SIM card with a data plan I could borrow? :)
is data in canada expensive then? I would have thought anyone who can afford that phone could afford a data plan

Canada has one of the WORST voice and data prices in the world. Even those who can afford the phones find Canadian mobile phone service to be not only extremely expensive, but also severely limited.
I really miss the UK. Unlocked phones, tons of deals, impeccable service. That would have been the perfect country to test out the phone.

how do the rates there compare to the rates in Brasil?

No idea. I've never been to Brazil. But chances are their rates are much more reasonable than Canada's.

i couldn't agree with you more.
People who've experienced the competitiveness of wireless market in continents like europe and Asia know what we are talking about.
I hope wind mobile can come and stir things up!

It won't make much of a difference for me. I live in Montreal, and Vidéotron has bought up all the spectrum in the province.
The phone is now about $550 US for the unlocked North American model.
