Why is it that we demand an end to our story?

We have fervently attributed the most bloodthirsty and tragic moments of our history to a God that we desperately desire to punish us, to destroy the people we hate, to judge us, very harshly. We've made our world quite bizarre in the meantime compared to our natural habitats, and, in some very important ways, it threatens to become crucially inhospitable to us, now.

The stories we write about our Ultimate didn't used to be so horrifying. What's going on here?

Toxoplasmosis gondii? Heh.

This reminds me of the art Mal's dad does. It's beautiful, but I struggle with it because there are few images that I can attach to objects that I can name, and there's no overt story. It reminds me of trying to find pictures in clouds - it puts my head in a neat, non-verbal space.

@durtygrrrl If you give over to it, it's possible you'll catch a few of the bona-fide messages I've tucked in there. Scrying clouds is exactly the sort of activity that led me to this style.

For my more narrative coherent works, basically I need a staff. Not a big one - but if you check out the credits on any given cartoon you'll see what I'm saying. ;)
